This is a building that has been used as many things over the almost 100 years it has been around. The concrete floors had been through a lot. The building was slated to be student housing so the concrete floors needed to be soundproofed. There was a rubber soundproofing material laid down and then a 2 to 3 inch concrete topping was poured over it. This was done to all 4 floors of this building 120,000 square feet in all. We then had the privilege to grind it and polish the concrete up to a 400 grit finish. The concrete was then sealed with an acrylic concrete sealer. After we completed each floor the framers came in and the new apartments started to take shape.
